Mag. Željka Komlenić

Željka Komlenić was born in Mrkonjić Grad in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she completed elementary school and the high school of economics. She graduated from the Department for Literature and Librarianship at the Faculty of Arts in Sarajevo and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Librarianship. She obtained a scholarship from the French Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and finished her post-graduate degree at the Francophonic Institute for Administration and Management in Sofia, Bulgaria, which was part of the University of Nantes (France), and, as part of her studies, did a three-month internship in France at the National Library of France and the Sorbonne University Library. Since 1992, she has been working at the National and University Library of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka. Since the establishment of the COBISS.SR library information system and the formation of the Virtual Library of the Republic of Srpska, she has been working as the head of the VIBRS Centre. She participates in several domestic and international scientific and professional meetings and conferences from the areas of librarianship and information science.
