Karmen Štular Sotošek from the National and University Library has been dedicated to the development of digital services for remote access to knowledge and their application in research and education for more than three decades. As the first director of the Digital Library of Slovenia (dLib.si), she contributed to its establishment, development, and dissemination, and received the Kalan Fund Award for her work in this field. As a key figure in the COSEC consortium, she coordinates the licensing of international scientific literature and the development of open-access publishing opportunities. She holds a master’s degree in communication studies and a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
