Klemen Brvar holds a degree in history and geography and a Master of Science in historical sciences. Between 2009 and 2021, he worked as a librarian at the Maribor Library, serving as head of the Activities and Events Department for the last seven years. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as head of the Office for Culture and Youth of the City of Maribor, where, among other things, he coordinated the development of the local culture programme for 2024–2027. Since 2023, he has been the director of the Maribor Library, which is on the verge of constructing and launching a new central library as part of the Rotovž City House of Culture. He is a member of the working group of directors of central regional libraries and the working group of directors of public cultural institutions in Maribor.  In addition, as a cultural worker and publicist, he is active in the fields of books, film, history, and heritage.
