Marko Šterk holds a Ph.D. in physics; he earned his doctorate in April 2024, having previously completed his master’s degree in physics in September 2018. For five years, he worked as a researcher at the University of Maribor, where he participated in research projects in the fields of biophysics, data analysis, and complex systems. He has presented his research at numerous domestic and international conferences and has published 14 original scientific and review articles.

He is employed as an application programmer at the Institute of Information Science in Maribor, where he has been involved in the development of software solutions for the past three years. In addition, he works on a contract basis as an assistant at the University of Maribor and Alma Mater Europaea University, where he shares his professional and research expertise with students.
