Centre for Education, Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Counselling for the Blind and Partially Sighted
Marija Repe Kocman is a professor of Geography and Russian, employed at the IRIS Centre, with a professional title of counsellor and special pedagogical training for working with children with special needs, particularly blindness and visual impairment. For more than 15 years she has been teaching and adapting various materials for blind and partially sighted users. She adapts and designs materials in braille and electronic form and is also involved in the Slovenian Braille Commission in the modernization and renewal of the Slovenian Braille script. She has professionally adapted, converted and designed more than 30 different teaching materials (textbooks, stand-alone workbooks, etc.) for lower and upper primary and secondary schools. She also holds teacher training courses.
