This presentation deals with the use of audiobooks at the Slovenske Konjice Public Library, with a focus on the Audibook mobile and web application, which provides Slovenian public libraries and their users with modern access to audio content. The platform allows libraries to browse, select, and purchase licenses for audiobooks, while library members can borrow them for free using their membership card and login credentials for the My Library service.
The presentation is based on an analysis of the service’s usage among library members and presents data on loan, collection growth, listening habits, and user feedback, which indicate a growing interest in digital audio content. Special attention will be given to the user experience and the library’s role in promoting and making audiobooks accessible to various user groups.
