The long-standing spatial challenges of the Maribor Library, well-known to the professional community, are finally nearing a resolution. The Rotovž Library, the new central branch, will soon open its doors as part of the Rotovž City House of Culture, where the library, a contemporary art gallery, and the city cinema will operate side by side. In light of this and several other infrastructure changes, Slovenia’s second-largest public library is undergoing a multi-level transition from which it will emerge transformed and ready to meet the challenges of the times.
