Tanja Žuran Putora has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and German studies from the Faculty of Arts in Maribor. Throughout her career, she has mostly been active in the fields of user training, customer relationship management, analysing requests, and key account management.

In 2009 she joined IZUM’s User Sevices Department, where she was responsible for helping, supporting, training, and counselling COBISS system users, as well as assisting with various data migrations. She was also the contact person for the COBISS.net systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria.

In 2018 she joined the Software Development Department, where she works as a developer focusing on finding solutions in the areas of holdings, loan, the use of peripheral devices and the integration of the COBISS system with external services and providers. She recognizes that high-quality, seamless communication – between technologies, devices, and people – is essential to the successful operation of modern library systems.
