Romana Muhvič Šumandl graduated from the Technical Faculty in Maribor, majoring in computer and information science. She joined IZUM in 1991 as a professional associate, and later became head of the User Service department. In 2013, she took over the management of the Service Management sector, within which she coordinates work in the User Service , Application Maintenance, Training and Public Relations departments. During all the years of work at IZUM, she participated in research and development tasks, but otherwise, before taking over the coordination of departments within the sector, her tasks were related to help, support and advice to users when working in the COBISS.net network. Among other things, she dealt with catalogue slips, the COMARC/B format, creating bibliographies, conducting courses, resolving user requests, preparing documentation, etc.
