Gorazd Vodeb graduated in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana, completed his Master’s degree at the Department of Library Science, and his doctorate at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Since 1994 he has worked at the National and University Library, first as an Information Officer, then as Head of the Information and Reference Centre, Consultant at the Centre for Library Development, and now Head of the Department for Information and Loan. He has been involved in user education, the creation of Mrežnik, EZproxy, the DiKUL portal, the use of GIS methods in public libraries, the development of public library standards, development measurement, the drafting of regulations on the conditions for the performing library activities as a public service, and other projects and research. He was also Editor-in-Chief of the journal Knjižnica.
