Dr Tanja Merčun Kariž is an associate professor at the Department of Library and Information Science and Book Studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, where she has been teaching since 2016. In her research, she focuses, among other things, on the evaluation and design of user interfaces of bibliographic information systems, the study of user experience and user studies. She is a reviewer for several international scientific journals and conferences. In the period 2013–2021, she was a member of the work group FRBR / BCM Review Group at IFLA.
