Mirlona Buzo graduated at the Faculty of History and Philology, in historical and geographical sciences. She then proceeded to obtain a Master’s degree in information science and librarianship at the University of Ljubljana.

For 10 years she worked at the National Library of Albania as a system librarian in the IT department.

From 2010 to 2012 she worked in the Department of Bibliographic Control at IZUM.

From 2013 to 2023 she was responsible for COBISS applications at the Academy of Sciences of Albania. She organizes the COBISS professional qualifications for Albanian librarians to obtain licenses.

In 2024, with the creation of the QKPISH Center (Center for the Coordination and Dissemination of Scientific Information) for the management of the COBISS.AL network, she is the head of this center at the Academy of Sciences of Albania.

She has published several professional articles in the magazine “Bibliothecae”.

She is the second EIFL licensing coordinator in Albania for the Albanian Library Consortium.
